How to book

1st step to book accommodation with us?

We do not offer a service where you can “instantly book” online however we are exceptionally quick at getting back to our clients. Providing all is satisfactory with your request to book accommodation then you could have your holiday booked within a matter of minutes. We strongly advise you to wait until we send you a confirmation email of your booking before confirming flights.


To book accommodation all we require is a deposit to secure the reservation for you or depending if it’s a last minute booking your trying to confirm you may have to pay the full amount immediately. The amount of the deposit will vary depending on which property you wish to book and the total cost of the rental. You will be notified of how much deposit we require along with the total amount of your booking on the 1st initial enquiry/quote that you are given from us.

1. Property Name.
2. Dates you wish to book.
3. Name of party leader.
4. Number of people and ages in your party including children and infants in cots.
5. Phone number and email address.
6. Please state whether you need a cot or highchair or any other extras for your stay.

Booking process


We send our clients a detailed email with instructions on how to pay the deposit. If you are in a position to pay immediately over the phone then please call us, as this is possible, again it depends on which property. Or it’s a last minute booking you are trying to make you may have to pay the full amount immediately, however we will confirm.


The deposit can be paid by the following methods;


1. Credit/Debit Card
2. Direct transfer into our sterling UK bank account.
3. Direct transfer into our Euro currency account
4. Post a UK cheque to our address in the UK.


The email includes a detailed version of the above methods so you will have all the information you need to make the payment. The balance is due on arrival at the accommodation to the owner/owners representative or the balance is paid 8 weeks before your arrival dates (this is the owners decision and not a choice made by Tenerife Villas Online). If the balance is required 8 weeks before your check in date then we will be in contact with you for this payment around 9 weeks before your check in date to allow you a couple of days to make the payment.


On the properties that require the balance 8 weeks in advance, if you are trying to make a last minute booking and your contacting us within the 8 week time period, you may have to pay the full amount immediately instead of a deposit. On a last minute reservation some owners may help you out and allow you to pay a deposit and then the balance say 2 or 3 weeks before (depending on the property) however this is only if it’s a last minute booking and if the enquiry date is within the 8 week time period.


We will require some personal details of the party leader upon making a reservation.


  • Full name
  • Contact details
  • Home address
  • Number of guests in the group (including ages)
  • Flight details
  • Passport number


Finally you will find a copy of our terms & conditions at the bottom of the email and by paying the deposit/full amount you are confirming that you have read and agree with our terms and conditions before you booked the accommodation.


Deposit Received


Once the deposit/full amount has been received by whichever method you use we will send you an immediate confirmation email and you can take this as a receipt of your booking. The dates you book will be made unavailable on all our calendars including on other websites where the accommodation is advertised. Once you have received this email you can go ahead and book flights.


Check in instructions


In order for us to send your check in instructions we need to have your flight details on record. It’s very important once you have booked flights please send us your arrival flight number and time the flight lands in Tenerife + time of departure flight on the day you check out. Approximately 10 weeks before your check in date if you haven’t already sent us your flight details Tenerife Villas Online will send out a request for this info.

4 weeks before your stay you will receive your check in instructions via email (1 week before your stay during the covid-19 pandemic), this will include;


  • The address to the accommodation along with directions
  • Arrangements for collecting keys – If you will be meeting the owner’s representative or if you will be given access to a key safe and let yourself in
  • Contact details for the owner’s representative
  • Check in / check out times
  • Any final balances to be paid
  • Any extras to be offered
  • The refundable security bond


Why we offer cash


Tenerife Villas Online give you the option to pay the balance on arrival in cash to the owner/owner’s representative who meets and greets you at the accommodation (not all properties). To help put your mind at rest and to show that both our company and the accommodation are genuine and that it isn’t a scam.


Some advice for you when booking accommodation with us


Tenerife Villas Online have been in operation since 2004, we are established and are regarded by our clients as one of the leading companies in our field. We recommend to book a villa or apartment early to save missing out on the dates you want. Tenerife is a winter sun island so you will find many of our villas and apartments are booked months &  years in advance for 52 weeks of the year and we regularly turn clients away due to a lack of availability.


  • Always wait until we send you a confirmation email of your booking before confirming flights.

  • Around 80% of landlords will decline a 1 week booking over the New Year period unless the Xmas has been booked out first. If the New Year period is the week you want, look for a property where the Xmas week has already been booked or alternatively book for 2 weeks over both Xmas & New Year (some landlords may accept a 1 week booking over the New Year period if it’s a last minute booking). New Year week is the busiest week of the year for holiday rentals in Tenerife and it is very easy to sell this period, therefore landlords become picky when it comes to accepting a booking for this date.

  • Around 80% of landlords will decline hen parties, stag groups, single sexed groups in their teens or 20s (however there are some landlords that will accept your group so please contact us).

  • It can be difficult to find a large villa in the hustle and bustle of the main central tourist areas (we do have some!) generally speaking the better villas are in the more residential areas so we recommend to consider venturing out a little, you will also tend to find the accommodation to be cheaper.
